• Fees: All Fees must be paid after each session unless the session is part of a package. For Packages, all fees are paid in full before the start of the first session.
• Single lesson: 60 minutes driving lesson is $70, with a minimum of 55 minutes practice time. 90 minutes lesson is $100, with a minimum of 80 minutes practice time.
• Package rates: Each lesson in a package is 90 minutes.
5 lessons package (7.5 hours total): $475
10 lessons package (15 hours total): $900
20 lessons package (30 hours total): $1700
• Car Rentals for Road Tests:
Car rental only: $90
Car rental and a 1-hour warm-up: $160
• Road Test Booking Fees: Road test booking fee is $50 and is non-refundable once booked. For cancelling road test appointments made by Safe Lane driving school a minimum of 72 hours notice is required. Failure to give Safe Lane driving school sufficient notice may result in the student having to pay a $25 road test cancellation fee to ICBC.
Road tests can be booked by either the student or by Safe Lane driving school. The student must sign a consent and release form before Safe Lane driving school may book a road test on their behalf.
• Scheduling: Lesson plans are determined by the instructor’s availability. All scheduling is done via phone agreements between the student and the instructor.
• Cancellation policy: If you wish to cancel a driving lesson, we require at least 48 hours’ notice. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of $50.00.
• Privacy policy: All personal information gathered are for driving instruction purposes and will be kept confidential. Without the student’s written authorization, no personal information will be disclosed to a third party.
• Insurance: Vehicles we provide for instruction and road tests are fully insured and certified.
• Instructor’s responsibilities: It is the instructor’s responsibility to create a respected and safe learning environment for the learners.
• Student’s Responsibilities: Students are required to have a valid Driver’s licence in all the sessions. Failure to do so may result in the lesson being cancelled. Valid Driver’s license can include BC Learner’s Driver’s License or a Foreign Driver’s license. Students are expected to act in a respectful manner throughout the session. Any disruptive and disrespectful behaviour will result in termination of the session.
• Passengers: There will be a maximum of 3 people (1 observing) in the Safe Lane vehicle during the student’s lesson time.
• Updates to Terms: The previously stated terms are subject to change at any time by the school. Students will be informed of any modifications to the policies.
